Thinking about a X-Mas Vacation with the Family

Looking at the Bahamas. I haven't been there since I went on Spring Break when I was in college (80's). Anyone been there recently, and has anyone taken their family? Places to stay, things to do, etc?

Nassau and the Atlantis Resort is probably the most popular. If you're looking for a Caribbean vacation I'd recommend the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, St. Maarten/St. Thomas, or Grand Cayman over the Bahamas. Or you can go to the Keys instead of the Bahamas.

Maybe you should just save money and watch this. Just kidding. On a side note, how did they get away with releasing this piece of crap? This has to be the most God awful movie I've ever seen. Cousin Eddie couldn't even save it.

Check out beaches.com its the family Sandals. Ive had great experiences at Sandals and would assume the family locations are just as good.

Probably be best to do a cruise (they're cheap as shit right now) unless you want to do something more land based.

Here's what I would do...
Take family to South Beach for a couple days before the cruise and then go on cruise see all the islands and take your happy ass home.

I've done the vacation thing the last 2 Xmas's and it's actually better than Xmas. Family enjoys themselves for a week for a little more than you'd spend on gifts and shit they'll not like in a couple of weeks. All around win-win.
