Faking disability to access a sold out event

This would have be one of the lowest things a person could do. It would seem that anyone could rent or borrow a wheel chair and buy a wheel chair access ticket.

How often do you think this happens?
Do you know of anyone that has done this?
Do you have to show proof that you are disabled?

Wut?

Rain Man 10-01-2010 01:40 PM

Huh?

Shogun 10-01-2010 01:41 PM

you can do that?

Buck 10-01-2010 01:45 PM

On my flight from Las Vegas to San Diego a couple weeks ago, this lady who was like 40 years old was in a wheelchair so she could get on the plane first. Someone pushed her on and put her luggage in the stowaway bin for her. When the plane landed she was the first one to stand up get her bag and walk off the plane.

I was pissed.

That's the question, not that I would ever do such a thing, but I was looking at tickets to a sold out event and saw a "click here for handicapped tickets". I just wondered if people could fake it.

A perfectly healthy freind of mine went to six flags a couple of years ago in a wheel chair and him and his buddies got front of the line privileges on all the rides. True story.

Sounds like a Seinfeld episode

That's crazy. That's bad karma, too.

How often do you think this happens?

Not nearly as often as you think.

Do you know of anyone that has done this?

No, but I will after you try it.

Do you have to show proof that you are disabled?

Normally, yes. But in your case: No, because it's quite obvious you have multiple and severe mental impairments.

I think it's funny when people rush to get on the plane. It's like, where are you going? To sit in the seat you're going to be in for three hours?

Deberg_1990 10-01-2010 01:49 PM

what about those peeps who park in all the "premo" parking spots at wal mart, then get out of their car and walk just fine to the entrance?

Shogun 10-01-2010 01:49 PM

Does it involve those 600 lb people who take those electronic carts at Walmart and take the great parking spots?

I've never quite understood that, either. I guess they want to cramp up their knees as soon as possible.
