I played baseball all my life and I was a lefty...

I would shit my pants trying to hit this guy and his 105 MPH fastball..

In fact, I wouldn't do it.

Hootie 10-09-2010 11:43 PM

P.S. This guy's arm is going to fall off in two years.

Interesting how there is a lot of mechanical theory behind the delivery of his pitches. Says a lot about pitching. A lot of it is mechanics.

Wasn't too helpful for him last night

Thig Lyfe 10-09-2010 11:52 PM

He should figure out how to throw a knuckleball without altering his delivery. The possibilities are MIND-BLOWING.

Damn thats fast.

.03 of a second to decide to swing or not. Screw talking about how hard that is, let's look at how impressive the hitters that hit him are. That's freakin crazy.

I hit against a guy throwing 95mph once, and I didn't see the first 2 pitches until they were crossing the plate. The difference between 95 and 105 is HUGE.

Don't forget his release point.

Yeah, that too.

I haven't played ball in a long time, but I would have enjoyed the shot to hit against him. The faster they threw the more fun it was. (as long as they were accurate)

Undoubtedly, with the torque he puts on it each throw. Sure hope not. On a sidenote, think the Royals can get him?

SnakeXJones 10-10-2010 01:36 AM

Hopefully those future Tommy John surgeries will hold up
