Enjoy Prime Time Football?

I hope you like the NFC East.

Is it just me, or have NFC East teams had a huge portion of the Sunday and Monday night games?

I realize it's about ad revenue and demographics, but this is getting ridiculous.

Bugeater 10-26-2010 07:54 AM

Yeah, I've been bitching about this in the coverage map thread nearly every week, they're featured in the 3:15 national games quite often too. I see at least 3 of the 4 NFCE teams play every week, and I'm nowhere near the east coast. It's been this way for several years.

Probably because before the season started everybody was saying that the NFC East was by far the best division in the NFL so they got alot of Nationally televised games. So far it hasn't lived up to the hype.

DaKCMan will be along shortly to tell us all to shut the **** up and accept our lot in life.

AMERICA'S TEAM **** YEAH :whackit:

I can find compelling reasons to watch a lot of different teams when the Chiefs aren't on. But I find nothing compelling about the Giants, Cowboys, or Redskins. I might tune in to a Philly game due to the QB situation. But honestly the biggest story between the other 3 teams is an aging almost-was QB traded within the division. It's not fun football to watch either. These teams look like shit even when they play well.

Zaiko 10-26-2010 08:09 AM

I don't mind watching the Cowboys fail miserably.

Other NFC East teams don't give a shit at all.

BIG_DADDY 10-26-2010 08:27 AM

From Prime Time Spots to 70% of the coverage time on the East Coast Sports Programming Network the East coast bias is ridiculous and has been for a long time now. It effects more than just programming though. From Baseball to the BCS it's BS and loaded prefferential treatment. You are singing to the choir on this one brother.

I don't mind watching them when they play each other because divisional games are most always entertaining games since they know each other so well.

18 teams have been on either Sunday or Monday night so far this season, the Giants and Jets lead the pack with 3 games each. The list of 2 games looks like this.

Cowboys
Redskins
Colts
Dolphins
49er's
Vikings
Bears
Packers

Of course this will only get worse once Thursday night football starts.

This is one reason I enjoy playing competitive fantasy football for money.

Wow I didn't think it was that bad.

Just looking ahead the NFC East has 6 more prime time games.

What is sad is the 49ers have 3 more games along with the Chargers, Bengals and Cardinals

Keep in mind we could all be saved some when Sunday night starts changing games based on better match-ups and play-off positioning.

I'll watch any noon and 3pm games that happen to be on Sunday, other than that I never watch Sunday night or Monday unless the Chiefs are playing.

I don't see any Sunday night games that will get changed except the last game with the Chargers vs Bengals.

Outside of watching the Chiefs play I love SNF.

sedated 10-26-2010 09:12 AM

is it just me, or do the announcers seem to have this tone that everyone in america absolutely loves the cowboys, and something is missing when they aren't winning. maybe I'm projecting, though.

at least people in the media seem to know that half of america despises the yankees.

dirk digler 10-26-2010 09:13 AM

Here are the Sunday night games eligible for flex:

Giants vs Eagles
Chargers vs Colts
Steelers vs Ravens
Eagles vs Cowgirls
Packers vs Patriots
Chargers vs Bengals
