Injuries to think about for SD (in our favor)

The Kansas City Chiefs look forward to the San Diego Chargers game in Week 14 with a couple of injury questions on their mind including the status of CB Brandon Flowers, who had a hamstring injury entering Week 13 and came out multiple times Sunday for what he said were cramps. We're not sure what's up with him and we don't think there are any other significant injuries to report.

San Diego, on the other hand, have a few injury questions to be answered.

First is RB Darren Sproles was hit very hard by Oakland Raiders LB Rolando McClain and currently has a headache, according to Chargers head coach Norv Turner. Missing him on Sunday would take one more weapon out of the Chargers offense but Turner is optimistic he'll be ready to play.

Second is WR Vincent Jackson who, as of last week, was not expected to face the Chiefs. Turner tells reporters on Monday that it's soon to know if he'll be available. Though he hasn't played (more than a few plays) this year, the Chiefs would probably prefer not to face Jackson.

Third is WR Legedu Naanee who appears to be doubtful for Sunday's game, according to the San Diego Union Tribune. You'll remember he was the one that caught that 59-yard touchdown pass in the first meeting between these teams.

Then there's TE Antonio Gates who is playing with a foot injury that is reportedly very painful. He's been playing with it so we'll expect him on Sunday but the way he's talking there may be some question on his availability.
Sorry if repost. Some of these are actually pretty favorable, especially in consideration with Gates. I'll take any help we can get for a win in SD.

Gates could barely even run on Sunday against the Raiders, when he scored that touchdown in the back of the end zone he practically walked to get there/did an old man jog. The Raiders are just shit/stupid.

Gates is definitely in pain week in and week out, I think he even came out and finally admitted it that it will be a Sunday decision from here on out based on how he feels that day.

Wow, this could be incredibly devastating for San Diego if at least two of those players are missing on sunday. Naanee and Gates were there only sources of production at arrowhead, and Vincent Jackson plays a huge role in their offense.

I thought the bowling ball went down

Damn Gates has been having foot problems since last season

Deberg_1990 12-06-2010 06:55 PM

Foot problems have a hard time healing when you have to run routes, cutting and sprinting. I expect his career is just about over.

Garay has an ankle sprain. That one could hurt us the most. He's been awesome at NT.

Cassel isn't a very good bootleg QB, but we'll see

It's a shame, really. I have a lot of respect for his ability.

SD has a fairly favorable schedule the rest of the way:

KC @ SD
SF @ SD
SD @ CIN
SD @ DEN

San Diego isn't winning in Cincinnati. Bad road team. Injuries out the ass, bad special teams and cold weather = disaster for them.

Cincinnati is a special kind of shitty this year.

As for San Diego, it's time for Tyson Jackson to actually earn his paycheck and 'accidentally' walk on Gates feet.
