Wade Phillips the new DC in Houston?

Looks like they are going to talk to him. I'd say, based on this article that it sounds like he's already got the job.

They could be scary good with him coaching that D.

Well if they're scary I could really care less considering they're in another division. There's always going to be other scary teams in the conference. Good for them though, if they get him.

That D isn't very good regardless of the coach, I don't think. Cushing seems less of a player since his suspension. Okoye is meh, Mario Williams is ok, but he doesn't really make QBs get off their game. The secondary is crap. I don't think they're on the verge of being scary good. He might elevate them to being ok, but they've got holes.

I guess poor Pollard will have to find a new team

BossChief 01-04-2011 03:23 PM

Interesting how many of their players make the transition to the 3-4 as they have a lot of picks invested in 4-3 players

It must be the labor deal but Black Monday was a dud. Only one coach fired and I just saw that the Bengals are bringing back Marvin Lewis, Coughlin is staying when he should have been fired and I don't get how Kubiak still has a job along with Del Rio.

Yeah, that's where I was going. I know they moved him around and they've been trying to sell it that it took him time to get used to the change and the suspension, but nobody down there thinks he was the same player. Maybe he can figure out something in the offseason.

I think you nailed with your first line, it is due to the contract negotiations. A lot of the owners are keeping their financial commitments to a minimum, until they know what is up.

That being said, come on Greasy Al, you don't have much time left to be ****ing around, fire Cable!

That was always one of the most logical destinations for him.

They have the talent to be better on D and the offensive weapons to be dangerous. Kubiak will get his $$$ coordinator and if he doesn't win next season he has no excuses.

After reading the OP I was going to post something similar to this ROFL "Look out for the Texans folks"!!!1111!!!!

If they can be middle of the road on defense, that team WILL be very good. Schaub, Foster & Andre are phenomenal. Wade is a great defensive coordinator. In 2009 they played 5 different playoff teams, finished with a 9 & 7 record and that was before they really even knew what they had in Foster.

We played how many playoff teams this year? 2?
