Do you lean forward or back..
 

when you laugh? I noticed there seem to be two different types of laugher. The person that leans forward or drops their head forward when laughing and others that lean back or look up to laugh. Just wondering which you do and if there are gender differences?

I never laugh. This is serious business.

Usually forward, but sometimes back as well.

I'm going to have to research this. I don't know.

If something is amusing, or I want to show appreciation to someone's humor, I'll lean back.

But if something strikes me as gut-bustingly funny, my stomach contractions compel me to lean forward.

I lean both forward and back and sometimes I quite literally roll on the floor.

If I'm sitting on a barstool, back. If I am sitting in a chair with a back, forward.

I maintain a rigid posture. Picture Joe Friday in a humorous moment.
