The Patent Wars
 

Has anyone been following this? Some really interesting cases going:

Google v. Oracle over patent and willful copyright infringement that could see Google pay out big time.

Apple v. HTC where Google just transfered a handful of patents to HTC to help them fight their case again Apple.

Apple v. Samsung Over the Galaxy lines of phones and tablets. Samsung hasn't been having much luck here, but it hasn't progressed that far.


Plus all of the trolls that are suing app developers of Google and Apple to extort settlements. It's all very interesting, and going to be a big fight for awhile. Google just purchased another 1000+ patents from IBM, on top of the 1000 they had purchased from them before plus the ones they'll get from Motorola. What a mess!
