There is a better way to get Luck.

There is a better way to get luck than tanking the season for it. We should try as hard as we can to win as many as we can. Do as well as we can with what we have, with the known fact that we lost our best players. What better way to go down than fighting and finding out what other hidden gems we may have on the existing team.

If Haley can figure out a way in the heat of battle with all this new pressure of the fans going completely south . That will prove more to me than being in the playoffs now with the given situation. What better way to find out if he is a good head coach? What better way to find out if Pioli is a good manager and see if he finds the right help and makes the rightmoves to help the team actually improve and be legitimate by the end of the year.

If we really want Luck as bad as you all are acting like, why not do it the right way.
Go after him in the draft. Whatever it takes. Blockbuster trade. If it's 3 1st round picks, so be it. If it's our entire draft next year, so be it. If you are willing to tank the year for him, why not. It's a much more respectable way to go about things. I would not be ashamed of that. I am ashamed of the way many fans are going about this.

The way things are going right now, I do kinda wish they would make the QB switch sooner rather than later. I would like to see Stanzi get the chance, but we are not at
the practices and it just may be that the people in the know think Palko is better. If they
do make changes, and I think they may, then they are serious about going for serious improvement.

Maybe there is one good thing about the suck for luck thing. I think it may very well, with the publicity it has gotten, I think it very well may have opened their eyes.

I want to see the Chiefs stay classy, including the fans.

I had originally suggested the same thing. Problem is, with so much emphasis this year on this guy, it would take a Ditka/Ricky Williams deal to get him. In the end, it would be too costly.

I would rather try what you've suggested than to just give up after two games.

because this way is easier

The Chiefs aren't trying to lose every game. They are just a bad team right now with major injury problems, a defense that can be easily exploited, and a very bad QB, and the fans who want Luck have the mindset that losing all or substantially all the games this season wouldn't be the end of the world considering the reward.<br />

The difference is one of the two scenarios you have mentioned is realistic and much more likely. Can you guess which scenario is most likely to occur?

I think Mickey might have put it best, "you can wish in one hand, and shit in the other. See which one fills up first."

You're right. With CP giving Luck such a monumental collective BJ, that should be enough to draw Luck to KC.

I am sure there are several member here that would suck his cock if that meant him being a Chief. Ahem...LUV....

If you think there is any realistic scenario of trading for the top pick and getting the best QB prospect in the last 10 years, you're dreaming.

Not going to happen. No team is going to deal that pick.

Honestly our chances of going 0-16 are more likely then that happening.

So, you'd rather finish 8-8 and trade away our entire future to get Luck?

Please, seek help. :shake:

In your scenario, it seems that the Chiefs would require willing participation by other teams with higher picks than ours.

Hey, it works in Madden.

This is CP... the land where all trades favoring the Chiefs are likely if not locks to happen.

Why is that trading our entire future? It's just trading pics, If we have Luck after trading pics away, We can temporarily cover for that with free agents, How many player do we actually get out of a draft? Only a couple players actually stick and make a dent.

And yes, 8 -8 would make me very happy.

Couple of years ago, we sat in the #3 draft position. Apparently Detroit listened to offers for the #1 spot... but in the end they wound up selecting Stafford. Unfortunately, we were not even in position to offer, because a month prior to the draft we traded our 2nd round pick for Cassel. Now I don't know for sure, but I would be willing to speculate that #3 and #34 in the draft would have come close to landing Stafford. Might have took a little more, but probably not a lot considering most teams were wanting to not pay the high dollar for a #1 overall pick.

Since we wouldn't move from #3 to #1 then, what makes you think we would move now? Having the #1 overall is the only sure fire way we know we would have a shot at Luck.

And since we have a total of 3 playoff wins in 40 years... 2 of them comming with a nearly washed up franchise QB... I think all of us know how important having said franchise QB is to the overall grand scheme of things.

These next 3 games are going to go a long ways towards determining if we are a legit Luck contender or not. And being in the #1 slot seems to be the only sure fire way we get Luck.

Yep. QB's like Luck don't come around every draft, every team without a franchise QB will be after him. Hell he was ready to go top 5 LAST season.

Seattle, Indy, Wash, San Fran, Miami, and any other teams that want to groom an elite QBOTF ala GB and Aaron Rodgers.

Combine that with the new rookie salary scale and there will be an all out effort to get him.
