Crap, I just realized Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix have been dead for more than 40 years! I feel old.

This also means it has been nearly half a century that I have made music with some of my friends. Crap, now I feel older.:doh!:

Not only have my musical heroes been gone, it has been the same number of years since the Chiefs were on top. I think I need a shot of Jack.:eek:

I saw Paul McCartney at the Sprint Center this year. Age doesn't seem to affect him. One of the best shows I've ever seen.

I have to admit I was more effected by the loss of Jim Croce.

Roger Waters at 68 just wrapped up doing a worldwide Pink Floyd The Wall tour. No twenty something on earth could put on a better show if their life depended on it.

....cool....listened to the best of wings the other night.

....saw plant/krauss at starlight....he's still got a great voice.

I'm enjoying my life much more at 52 than I was at 32. Mostly because I'm not as much of a dumbass now as I was then. I'm still a dumbass, but 20 years ago I was an extraordinary dumbass. I figure if I can make it to about 75 I should really have my shit together.

Getting old sucks but it beats the hell out of the alternative.
