Kind of surprising he would settle for Washington State. Wasn't Leach looking for a job in a warmer climate. I read that somewhere, but also read that he was lobbying for the Kentucky job, which wasn't even open, and Kentucky does not strike me as a particularly warm place.

I'm ok with this, as I've had other names on my mind for the vacancy anyway. I would of been ok with Leach, but have others that I would favor.

Regardless, at least the Leach Craze by the LJWorld can cease.

I don't think this is strange. He is coaching in the PAC-12 now and at a school that has been fairly successful over the past 20 years. Not the last 3, which is why the job is open, but this is pretty lateral for him - a Texas Tech kind of job.

Personal preference. Most people think otherwise.

Even I have to concede that it really isn't.

I don't understand this decision from Leach, I really don't. He has to re-set his recruiting ties and doesn't get to go after TTU annually. I guess the PAC is a little easier to win in, but he's still going to be fighting uphill, especially if Arizona and UCLA make a good hire and UCLA recovers.

Maybe he really does expect UT, OU, OSU and TTU to end up in the PAC at some point. That's about the only thing I can figure.

Lots of interesting coaches coming to the PAC-12. Rodriguez in Arizona and now Leach in Wazzu.

Right here is all you needed to know leach wasn't gonna come to KU.

I just got a new 2nd favorite college football team. The only thing I don't/didn't like about Leach was having to watch K-State get our asses handed to him every few years.

I'll be honest, I was scared that he might have gone to KU. But anyway, I love me some Leach.
