I'll join the fun, who do I keep?
I'm in a 20 team keeper league. We can keep 12 players. Last year I finished 3rd but was the #1 seed in the playoffs.
Here's my roster; C-Posey, J. Lucroy 1st- Goldschmidt, K. Morales, J. Smoak 2nd-Kinsler SS- Tulowitzki 3rd-E. Bonafacio(SS,OF), M. Prado(OF), P. Alverez OF-H. Pence, D. Jennings, M. Morse(1B), J. Kubel, D. Murphy(TEX) SP-T. Hanson, E. Bedard, C. Luebke, D. Fister, J. Masterson, M. Leake RP-J. Hanrahan, S. Santos, G. Balfour, J. Spence I'm leaning towards keeping these players; Posey Goldschmidt Kinsler Tulowitzki Bonafacio Pence Jennings Morse Prado Lucroy Hanson Luebke Full disclosure, I'm a Tigers fan and don't like having players from the team on my fantasy team. The Tigers always come before fantasy. Thoughts? |
Are there salaries? I would think Santos is cheap and an obvious keeper.
What details are we missing? |
No salaries or anything like that. I had Fister in '10 and redrafted him in '11. His mid-season trade made him a Tiger so I rode it out as I was in contention.

Basically, the same as your choices but swapping out Santos for Goldschmidt. I always figure decent closers are harder to find than decent 1B/DH types (and I don't expect huge things from Goldschmidt). |
I was thinking of employing a strategy of no closers this year. We have IP, W, K, H, S, ERA and WHIP as pitching scoring categories. Instead of having three closers and a holds guy like last season I was going to try to get as many quality SP as I could fit on the roster.

We're required to start two RP. I was going to try and find a SP with RP eligibility or maybe go with a couple of holds guys late in the draft.

If you're looking for SP who have RP availability, Luebke is a must-keep, as he'll fit there (and give you GREAT numbers). |
I traded Storen for Luebke and Goldschmidt.
