funky scoring system...the strategy I'll use
Joined a league with this...
Head to head point scoring system Runs (R) 1 Singles (1B) 1 Doubles (2B) 2 Triples (3B) 3 Home Runs (HR) 4 Runs Batted In (RBI) 1 Stolen Bases (SB) 2 Caught Stealing (CS) -1 Walks (BB) 1 Hit By Pitch (HBP) 1 Strikeouts (K) -1 Pitchers Stat Category Value Innings Pitched (IP) 1 Wins (W) 10 Losses (L) -7 Complete Games (CG) 5 Shutouts (SHO) 10 Saves (SV) 5 Earned Runs (ER) -1 Walks (BB) -2 Strikeouts (K) 2 No Hitters (NH) 25 Perfect Games (PG) 50 Blown Saves (BSV) -5 C, 1b, 2b,ss, 3b, of, of, of, utl, utl, sp, sp, sp, sp, sp, rp, rp - 6 bench players, 1 dl. live snake draft What do you all think of drafting 5 SP's first 5 picks (high W & K's) and then speed the rest of the draft...I will win the sp pitching cat by huge margins, win the sb... and then do ok in hits, runs, 2b, 3b. I will prolly pick up a couple of middle of the pack relivers somewhere along the way. |
I won a league like this once. I went after HR hitters in the early rounds figuring a HR nets a HR, a run scored and at least one RBI. Obviously a power hitter who can swipe some bags (Ryan Braun for instance) was extra special.
I dropped out after my 2nd season, I never liked the scoring system even though I won my first year. |
