Browns signed LB D'Qwell Jackson on a five-year, $42.5 million deal that includes $19 millin in guaranteed money and roster bonuses.
Browns re-signed MLB D'Qwell Jackson to a five-year contract.
According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Jackson will receive $42.5 million, including $19 million in guarantees and bonuses. It's a staggering sum for a player who missed 26 games due to injury in 2009-10. The Browns likely have an out clause in the form a roster bonus within the next two years. The 28-year-old racked up 158 tackles last season as a strong Comeback Player of the Year candidate anchoring Dick Jauron's 4-3 defense. The Browns are still willing to use the franchise, with Phil Dawson as a more likely candidate than Peyton Hillis.
