Since beginning its National Pancake Day celebration in 2006, IHOP has raised nearly $8 million to support charities in the communities in which it operates. On February 28, 2012, guests from around the country are invited to celebrate National Pancake Day at IHOP and enjoy a free short stack of Buttermilk pancakes.* In return for the free pancakes, guests are asked to consider leaving a donation for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals© and other designated local charities.

Probably have to wait 45 minutes for $5 of pancakes.

This is what you have to wait on a normal day. Pack that place out, and you're looking at 2hrs for crappy free food.

IHOP should definitely be in the overrated thread.

I've never set a single toe in an IHOP, that's one part of Americana that I can do without.

I work downtown near the university. Every now and then you hear about Chipotle with free burrito day. Sounds awesome right? Not if you want to wait 45 minutes in a line out the door it's not.

I think it's pretty good for cheap food. We hit up IHOP a lot in college around 2:30 am after the bars closed.

However, I don't understand why people would wait in line forever to get a damn cheap ass pancake.

It's freeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

LOL I was thinking about going down to the New HyVee here in Springtown for mens night just so I could get a free beer.


I think about alot of things that I never actually do though so I might not make it there either.

The only thing I can imagine is worse than eating at Ihop is doing it on a day that will attract all of the area's degenerates.

I don't know about you, but an hour of my time is worth a lot more than $5.
