Who's eaten rabbit?
 

My birthday is next week and my girlfriend has been telling me she's buying me a pet. I've insisted that she not but she bought me a baby rabbit. I told her I'm going to eat it. I've skinned and gutted plenty of rabbits but I've never done anything but grill it. Any other recipes worth trying with rabbit meat? I'm going to feed it to her and tell her afterwards.

The way to get the most meat out of it is to boil it. You can get it so tender it falls off the bone. Be sure to soak it in cold salt water for a day to get rid of the gamey taste. A little olive oil and some seasoning of your choice and you are good to go.

I'd suggest killing another one, hiding the one she gave you, then laughing your ass off when she gets all pissed at you. She bought it so she'd have a pet rabbit not you.
