Rangers @ Royals 8/04

Scott Feldman, 5-6, 4.76 ERA vs. Will Smith, 2-3, 5.94 ERA

Let's see if the Fresh Prince can have another quality start tonight. Many cheers for no Frenchy or Yuni in the lineup either.

For those of you out of market, this is the free game of the day on MLB.TV

Smith's curveball is working today. Look out, Rangers.

It has been working really well for him ever since he came back up. He might be one of those guys that felt like he had "made it" when he came up the first time. Being sent down was probably a reality check for him in that he has to bring his best every day and every pitch in the ML.

I think Smith could be a number 3/4 type guy with that bat-misser in his arsenal now. That curveball has two plane movement that fools both lefties and righties.

Also - is MLB.tv's stream sucking for anyone else?

Any potential future George Bretts' in the farm system to look forward to?? Used to be a die hard follower from '69 to Brett's retirement. Seems when Glass bought the team it became a 'red light special operation'

The talent on this roster has a very good chance to produce a hall-of-famer or two, imo. Which one specifically it will be is far too early to say.

Smith has really come back as a different pitcher. He looks pretty good.

CaliforniaChief 08-04-2012 04:39 PM

Ya know even when Salvy grounds out to 3B I see good things.

He took forever to get into the batter's box and took a few pitches to give W. Smith some time, and to work Feldman a bit.

It's not much, but it's something.

Royals seem to have several players that have good baseball sense.

It's the little things that make all the difference:thumb:

does he have a good straight change ?

The Rangers are hitting good pitches right now. Extremely bad luck for Agent Smith.
