Who works 4x10 rather than 5x8?
Any tips on getting through the day quicker?
I just took my lunch 9 hours into my shift, but I don't think I could do this every day. |
You don't have to do it every day. Just 4 days straight. ;)

I wish I could work two 2x20's
|
I was working 4x12 and I took my lunch/dinner breaks 6-8 hours onto my shift.

Everybody interprets the passage of time differently. Not sure there's an easy answer.
Have you tried cocaine? |
I'm working 4 10s and love it. It's great having a 3 day weekend every week.

stay busy, don't watch clock.

I work what's called a 9/80.
Week 1: 4x9, 1x8 Week 2: 4x9 It's awesome because you get a friday every other week to take care of whatever business you need to. I rarely have to use my vacation days for stuff. I don't even notice the extra hour...I'm usually here closer to 10 hours most days anyway (depending on what is going on of course). Here's how you deal with longer days: stay busy. If you are bored the days will seem loooonnnggg. A couple of months ago I worked 7x12 for about 3 months straight. That sucked incredible balls. |

4x10 is awesome. I get 3 days off a week and it is well worth it.

Phone with 3G data plan, secluded bathroom, girly thread.
In all seriousness, I work 5x10, plus a freelance job at night, plus my wife has opened a business that I feel like is my third job, plus I got 2 kids. No sympathy. |
