FOX replaces Frank Caliendo with Rob Riggle
FOX adds Rob Riggle for pregame show
Posted by Mike Florio on August 26, 2012, 6:23 PM EDT The 2012 ESPY Awards - Show Getty Images The folks at FOX have developed a tradition of providing game picks via a comedian. This year, they’re providing a new comedian to provide the game picks. Frank Caliendo announced earlier this month that he has left FOX after nine years. During halftime of Sunday’s 49ers-Broncos game, FOX announced that Rob Riggle will take Caliendo’s place. Riggle, 42, is a veteran of shows like Saturday Night Live and The Daily Show. He has appeared in numerous films, and he hosted the ESPY Awards in July. He also is an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Riggle debuts on September 9. Maybe for his first segment he’ll impersonate Caliendo impersonating John Madden. |
Good. Caliendo was ****ing atrocious. Just never, ever funny.
I still probably won't tune in to the Fox pre-game. I stick with CBS. |
Chiefs represent!

I went to church with Rob as a kid.

Good. Caliendo was just a one trick pony. His impersonations are good but it wears thin after awhile.

Our long national nightmare is over.

Riggle is a Chiefs fan but he does do some PR things for the Redskins like he does for us. People shouldn't get mad at him for that...he is a celebrity first after all. He's not like us. He's into making money and doesn't care how.

He did very well at the ESPYs. I think out of all the hosts they have had, he was the best.
