Romeo sent a shot across the bow of Pioli
After hearing all the talk today on radio, etc., as much as a lot of us would have liked to have seen Romeo go for the win in regulation he probably did the best thing for this team and sent a very clear and unmistakable message to Pioli that he will not put a game in Cassel's hands unless he has too.
There are some drawbacks as that same message gets sent to the team as well. From former players to talking heads they have all basically said that there is no disguising this message. Romeo may have done us a favor and took us a huge step towards getting rid of Cassel. Couple this with hearing last week from Maas that Romeo says he does not believe in Cassel. This is good news. |
Uhhhh direct quotes plz?

Yep. I was thinking the same thing as I was watching the game. No trust.
Pilio will make it work in his favor one way or the other though. He will go down with his first mate. |
Danan Hughes?
Jaycee Pearson? Now those are a couple of guys with the pulse of the Chiefs at their fingertips. A couple of semi-wases speculating about their former team. That's not a lot to hang your hat on, Pete. |

I have a friend who went even speak to me today over my Cassel bashing yesterday.
I "ruined"the positivity of the win for him. Oh and Matt Cassel sucks. Posted via Mobile Device |

On the new Red Zone show today, Maas gave no credit or support for the win yesterday to Casshole. Hard to believe that Pearson and Hughes have gone over to the darkside. I think it was Pearson that was congratulatory of Pisoli for not bringing in competition for Casshole during training camp. Thought it would damage Matt's fragile psyche, and as a player, he wouldn't want a battle for the quarterbacks spot detracting from the experience in training camp
