Trade offer...

I was offered tonight Calvin Johnson and McGahee for Fitzgerald and Doug Martin.

My initial thought was to reject. My RB situation is awful, but Martin really hasn't helped it. I have Bush, Martin and a whole pile of shit.

However, it does intrigue me to potentially have Calvin, AJ Green and Amendola as my WRs. I still don't trust Kolb with Fitz.

Should I reconsider my initial no? I know McGahee has a rib cart. issue but don't know how serious it could be.

I would do it. Johnson's an elite player and can win a matchup for your team on 1 play. And McGahee seems to be a great goal line option too.

What RBs are out on the market right now?

WV 09-25-2012 02:49 PM

Do it!

Buck 09-25-2012 05:50 PM

I would accept that in a heartbeat.

Calvin Johnson is a must have player right now. Be smart.

Yeah, he's getting Calvin Johnson. That's why I said it.

The Bad Guy 09-26-2012 08:16 AM

Well I snoozed and I lost. He ended up trading Calvin elsewhere.

There's literally nothing on the waiver wire at RB.

Sofa King 09-26-2012 12:46 PM

Wow. I wouldn't have even asked. You should have accepted that in a heartbeat.

Fritz88 09-26-2012 01:03 PM

I would have accepted right away.

L.A. Chieffan 09-26-2012 01:16 PM

Chris Johnson for Doug Martin?

ChiefGator 09-26-2012 02:12 PM

I'ld rather have Martin.

My hesitation was for 2 reasons.

1) McGahee is likely out this week, as is Reggie Bush. I have no depth so I would have basically punted this week.

2) Stafford's injury. First it was a hammy, now it's a hip.

I love Calvin a lot, but hopefully the cold feet don't come back to haunt me.

I'd have taken it. McGahee gets goal line work because Peyton likes to audible down to runs. Calvin Johnson is a no brainer.

As a Calvin owner, I kind of hope Hill gets a shot. Stafford doesn’t look comfortable in the pocket and his attitude seems to be “use Calvin as a decoy, get it to the other guys”. Hill is the only reason Calvin put up 30+ a couple weeks ago – he was around 15 when Stafford got hurt (with only a few minutes left).
