The number of blowouts during the Pioli era is truly remarkable.

I’m defining a blowout as a game where we lose by more than 14 points. Anything more than 14 just isn’t being competitive at all.

Just over 3 Years during the Pioli era, 18 blowouts. Look at the # per year.

Add the games where we were dominated, but the scores were close for some BS reason.

2009 @ Ravens
2009 vs Giants

One common denominator:

Just over 3 Years during the Pioli era, 16 blowouts. Look at the # per year. Typically 4 or 5. Looks like we’re going to buck that tend given we have 3 already this year.

And if you factor in our playing catch-up during garbage time, the number is much higher!

Deberg_1990 10-01-2012 09:41 AM

This team has been truly awful 5 out of the past 6 seasons. From 2007 on....

They should consider themselves lucky they still have a fanbase.

14-29 at home since 2007

Yes, I wonder if we could see games where the score was 14 points or more up until 4th quarter garbage time. It seems that our #1 ranked offense tends to pad it's stats and make it look like the point deficit isn't as bad as it was when the opposing team starts picking fans out of the seats to play defense for them while the real team hits the showers.

KCUnited 10-01-2012 09:50 AM

41-6 in 1st quarters this year.

PRIEST 10-01-2012 09:52 AM

Yep, and that is where those inflated stats are coming from for Matt Cassel that the front office keeps leaning on.

siberian khatru 10-01-2012 09:58 AM

I wonder how that stands in context to the rest of the league. Are we blown out more than most lower-tier teams?

notorious 10-01-2012 09:59 AM

If you failed at your job that badly, would you still be working there?

Oh, wait, Pioli's job isn't about winning, it's about $$$$$$.

Notice a difference in 2011 and 2012?

We took our beatings like a man in 2011.
