So Rich Gannon was talking about his days in KC

on his Sirius/XM show with Adam Shine and although I didn't catch the entire segment I did hear him say that he would spend hours as the back-up watching film etc. and Grbac would not even show up and he (Gannon) knew that if Marty ever regretted anything it was not making Grbac be accountable for that.

Okay maybe not current but just found it interesting and thought it was worth sharing. If anyone caught the complete segment maybe you could fill in the gaps of what prompted the comment etc.

Its a little relevant considering Quinn is about to step in as the next Gannon

The main difference is that on his best day Cassel is to Grbac what Grbac is to Montana.

Now wouldn't that be the shit, turn the season around and make the play-offs only to be benched in the last game of the season because the starter is all better now.

MeatRock 10-10-2012 09:25 PM

Spott 10-10-2012 09:27 PM

I'd prefer to leave that last part out.

There can't be any chance that would ever repeat itself. Clark would fire everybody before that went down again.

This isn't surprising at all. Grbac, while physically gifted, never truly loved football. That was never more evident than his stint in Baltimore.

In all honesty, I think the guy only played football because it made his father happy.

Oh well, those days are long gone and I hope he's happy today.

Dammit, Carl!! :cuss:

'Grbac is now an assistant quarterbacks coach for Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio.'
