"Who is John Galt?"

Open your wallet.

The producers will continue to get screwed.

The government will demand more.

I work 80-100 hours weeks, personally guarantee large amounts of loans, employ 50+ hard working associates.

And yet my taxes will keep going up to support others who don't want to make the sacrifices to enable their lifestyles.

I'm resigned to the fact that we are becoming more and more an entitlement society.

Are you talking about your federal income tax rate being raised?

Federal, state, local, property. All are going to go up.

But primarily Federal.

Let's see: ~3.8% health care tax; higher capital gains, fewer deductions, and thinking the worst: estate tax from 35% to 55% with floor of $1MM instead of current $5MM.

We need a fair flat tax.

Flat tax is the stupidest idea ever. It would be a huge tax cut for the top brackets with the poorest and middle class Americans paying more.

Many of the tax increases you mention are only going in place if the fiscal cliff goes into effect.

You planning on inheriting over $1M in the coming year?

If the guy owns a business perhaps he is worth that already?

Life must be rough for you at your 200K annual salary in Wisconsin. Good luck with the horrors of a pre-Bush tax rate. You might find comforting empathy in the poetry of Holocaust victims.

I saw on another forum that a gent is going to lay off 50 employees to get under the ObamaCare exemption level by the 1st of the year. Merry *****ing Christmas.

The conceptual flaw with Galt's Gulch is that no one would actually move there to clean the toilets.

They will raise your taxes, then tell you they cut them, right to your face. Kind of like, "You didn't build that!"

That's because the person that invented the crapper already moved there.

THINK MAN THINK! You can do it.

You working 80-100 hours a week is nobody's fault but your own. I don't feel sorry for you in the slightest. Find a new career if you're so unhappy.

i don't think he's complaining about the amount of hours he's working, but the increasing rate at which he is taxed on them.
