Give me a band name
***Hey guess what. 3 members of the band thought they were hiring a guy who auditioned. My friend Brandy (lead singer) thought they were agreed on hiring me. I sang with them a couple times, didn't officially audition.
Yeah......... no band for me. I'll have to go solo. Figures.*** Just got a call for a side gig. I'm joining a band that plays a variety of rock, classic rock, southern rock and country (mostly classic). They're (we're) changing lead guitarist and adding me as lead vocalist and background vocalist on some songs. They want a name change. Some gigs will be more rock, others will be more country, others will be a mix. Here's a few songs I know I'll be doing... Rock Pearl Jam- Alive Tonic- If You Could Only See Douchette- Mama Let Him Play Goo Goo Dolls- Slide Matchbox 20- Bent Clapton- Wonderful Tonight Country Merle Haggard- If We Make It Through December Johnny Cash- Sunday Morning Comin Down George Strait- Fool Hearted Memory Yes it's quite a mix. We're really looking to hit it big at the VFW and Sparkys bar. (that's sarcasm btw) The hope is to expand the band (5 members currently, six with me) and do a more diverse set and play more places. It's all for fun... and some extra money. They play a lot of local festivals and such but there is more potential. I already suggested "Dr. Johnny Fever" as a band name and they like it. Open to other possibilitys. *I know if this goes 100 posts then maybe 2 will have something to work from but you all are entertaining so.... go.* |
