President Obama has decided to nominate Sen. John Kerry to be the next secretary of state and could make a formal announcement as early as next week, a Democrat who spoke to Kerry told CNN Saturday.

I second that but why would anyone give up being a senator for becoming secretary of state. As a senator you have lots of power but no responsibilities and you can earn a lot of money.

Kerry has tons of money and has lusted for this job for years. I hate to say it but Hillary is head and shoulders above this moron. I cannot imagine anyone overseas paying any attention to this windbag. Weak pick but he will lick Obamas boots every time he can
