What if that's part of the deal here? Clark's talked to Chip and he'll get final say on everything and basically Chip will get to meet up with Pioli, etc. and make his own call on if he keeps him around or not.

So what if he wants to keep Pioli around? The guy does a nice job of getting some lowball contracts in place. If Chip gets to push the issue and tell him who he needs to resign and it's just up to Pioli to hammer out the details, how would you feel about that?
