QB and the 2012 playoffs
I don't know what this means, or if it means anything... but it's amazing how young this year's playoffs will be at QB.
Of the 12 teams in the playoffs, only 4 will have a QB who has won a playoff game. Manning, Brady, Flacco, and Rodgers Six of the 12 QBs will be playing in their first playoff game: Luck, Schaub, Wilson, Kaepernick, Griffin III, Ponder There are six QBs in their first or second year as a starter: Luck, Dalton, Wilson, Kaepernick, Griffin III, Ponder We could really look back at this year as the old guard vs. the a new era of QB play. Definitely a good sign about what can happen if you draft the right QB. But it'll also be interesting to see if the veteran guys win out or get passed up. |
Poor Ryan, doesn't make any list.

Flacco sucks
|
I wasn't going to say that but that's possible too... Flacco has a winning playoff record but very mediocre playoff numbers. But he was one dropped pass from a Super Bowl last year.

Of the 12 playoff teams, 10 of them drafted their QB. Only two that didn't: Houston and Denver.
Of those 10, eight were selected in the first 36 picks. Only two that weren't: New England and Seattle. |
How about this.
Out of the playoff teams, how many have quarterbacks that were drafted by the team they are with? That's all we need to know.... |

The only 2 are Peyton Manning, and Matt Schaub. |
