Chiefs signed OT Dustin Waldron, P Matt Szymanski, DB Jose Gumbs, and OL Luke Patterson to reserve/future contracts.
None of the above has ever made a regular season appearance. Waldron spent the previous summer with the Dolphins and Patriots after being undrafted out of Portland State. He has some good length at 6-foot-6 but is on the slim side at 280 pounds. All four will spend the spring with Kansas City in hopes of making it to training camp.

If we get Andy Reid, I think the fact that he is established immediately gives us credibility in maintaining Bowe, Albert and Colquitt. Plus, maybe Reid will be willing to, you know, spend the cap room we have?
