And they call global warming skeptics "Flat Earthers." LMAO

I read about this.

One major complaint I have about the three cable news networks is their refusal to have scientists on as regular panelists. They may have a "here's a pretty cool science story" occasionally, but they don't have a regular rotation of scientists that could come on and explain or discuss the scientific angles to most of the political issues we face, which often time have scientific angles.

Think of the last time you had scientists on the cable news networks to discuss global warming/climate change. CNN doesn't, because CNN only cares about the political angle, not what climate change is actually doing to the planet. MSNBC never does because they assume their audience doesn't need to be sold on climate change -- when in fact many people who believe in man-made climate change don't fully understand the science behind it, and a regular cauldron of scientists discussing it could make everybody far more literate on the subject.

Fox News, oddly, is the only channel that features scientists discussing climate change. But even then it's ridiculous; it's usually a scientists/climate change expert in one corner, faced up against a talk radio host with no science background in the other corner who just makes ridiculous arguments and derails the conversation almost immediately.

America doesn't spend a lot on its sciences, and in the past few years we've actually reduced our spending on it. Uncoincidentally, we're pretty ****ing stupid when it comes to science. When you don't have any scientists around, you get ridiculous bullshit like the anchor in the OP.

News outlets are betraying their responsibility to the public by refusing to have scientists as regular contributors.

And yet, like every liberal on the planet, she will pretend to be so much SMARTER than conservatives. Every liberal thinks that. They're never confronted on this because the only media outlet who will do it is Fox News. Nobody on the major networks will call out a fellow Liberal when they make stupid comments. No - that's only for Dan Quayle and the misspelled potatoe. That's the real story!

I'm happy to say that I do not think I'm smarter than conservatives.

I think I'm probably in the bottom half of regular participants on DC, intelligence-wise.

Is that Bill Nye the Science Guy?

Yes, it most certainly is.

I won't believe any of this until Danny Glover has offered up his expert opinion.

Galaxy warming?
Universal warming?

I don't know how she could possibly muster the courage to show up at work the next day, or why she was allowed in the building when she did show up.

Why? Her co-workers probably all wondered the same thing. :shake:

This is how I feel about your lack of scientific knowledge. Now you know how I feel when you talk about cancer.
