Bullshit double standard, but it's to be expected.

I knew about this before. Germany still has remnants of fascism. Obama goes along with it. Shows what Obama and his ilk think of freedom—including educational. Only the state can do it. They're prisons today and the socialization is anti-socialization.

There was a German family in my daughter's former private school because they couldn't educate their children the way they wanted in Germany.

They even regulate what speech can be mentioned.

Sure, it's sort of bullshit for Germany to prevent homeschooling. I'm not sure it rises to the level of religious persecution, though.

And apparently neither does Canada or New Zealand.

In a similar case, an asylum request by German homeschoolers who fled to New Zealand was denied last year. Another German family sought refuge in Canada.

To my knowledge Canada and New Zealand allows homeschooling. It is large and growing in Canada.

Uh, they still had access to religious private schools in "fascist" Germany.

What a weird issue for the Obama admin to get into...seriously, what possible angle could there be? They don't want a bunch of home schoolers claiming assylum?

On a long list of stupid shit...this is just one more item...

I know this is largely like arguing with my dog, but I'll bite. And what point does that prove?

To keep us from becoming a mecca for marginally persecuted religious zealots. We have more than enough of those already, thanks.

Whoosh! The point went over your head. This is about homeschooling not private schooling which costs more money. Although, homeschooling is basically private schooling, just without paying tuition to someone else.

It's fascism.

So you're a religious bigot. Got it.
