Television curating the lexicon

In my recent TV watching, like just the past couple months or so, I've noticed a significant uptick [a genesis really] of the use of the word 'bespoke' to describe a well dressed man. I've heard it on like 6 different shows in the past month, with little or no use prior.

Are writers just coincidentally hitting on the same patter at the same time? Did some studio head pass around notes to weave it into dialog? WTF is going on?

Bespoke is the new rape.
