Hypothetical: Trading the 1.1 and Albert to the Eagles...

The Eagles apparently LOVE Geno. They want him so much that the entire FO, including the owner worked him out.

The Eagles also have some major problems with their O-line. It, along with the DBs were a huge part of their problem last year. Some say that their O-line might bounce back this year, but Peters blew out his Achilles twice. On a man that big, that doesn't bode well for the future. Albert is a proven player.

Assuming that the Chiefs are going to trade down this year, and it is a pretty safe assumption that they will try, and assuming that Albert is indeed on the market, what would it take for you to pull the trigger on a trade with the Eagles that would send our 1.1 and Albert to Philly?

Philly has pretty high picks this year, and lets face it, they will, in all likelihood have high picks next year.

Philly isn't trading you shit. Move on and accept your fate.

Direckshun 03-25-2013 09:05 PM

Philly would pretty much have to give me their whole draft for that to be an option.

The 1st overall and a high caliber LT? Please.

The team with the aging porn star as the new owner would call foul.

If this happens, I'm a new eagle fan.

The Chiefs have a ton of flexibility in this draft, just how Reid likes it.

He can turn Albert and the 1.1 into multiple picks, which he loves doing.

He can package any number of picks and move all over the place, which he loves doing.

And the team only has a couple obvious areas of big need.

But what would you expect in return?

If you get rid of Albert, you have to fill that glaring hole on the left.

What on earth would we get in return? We'd need their next three years of first-round picks or some such thing.

This trade only works for me if we also throw in Alex Smith.

why would they trade for Albert

they cant take on both Albert and Peters and theres no point in trading for Albert on a year franchise tag

they have no room for Albert no matter how you cut it.

Would you take their 1& 2 this year and next? This year they would be guaranteed high picks, and probably high picks next year as well....

Not saying it would happen.....

Honestly, the combination of a franchise QB and a franchise LT is so significant, our asking price should be absurd.

The Franchise 03-25-2013 09:25 PM

1st, 2nd and 3rd in 2013. 1st and 2nd in 2014. 2nd in 2015.

Mother****erJones 03-25-2013 09:29 PM

Why would the Eagles trade for Albert when they have Peters and his big contract?
