shattered my wifes car rear window
any advice from CP here?
just finished mowing the yard. as i turned off the PTO on the rider, apparently i came across a small rock, of course it hit the back glass. kaboom! end result, cabletech loses. of course i have insurance. that's who i'll be calling first thing in the morning. anybody else have experience in having the glass replaced? it's a 2003 ford escape. or should i just take it to the dude down the street that repairs auto glass. or maybe that safe lite repair company i hear on the teevee. damn, i feel like and idiot. oh yeah, and IN before the anti-freeze. |

I'll have a glass of jack on the rocks.

Pay for it yourself
Your rate will go up plus it won't be much more than your deductible I would imagine. |

I kicked the deck on my rider mower once to clear the grass clumps, and my neighbors rear Tahoe window explodes from across the street. Never found rocks or anything, but he heard it from inside his house. Ins. covered it. (and I think he is his own agent...AAA)
I look around now before I do that. |
safelite repair, safelite replace

I would look for one of the neighbor kids balls laying outside, throw it in that window, knock on their door and blame it on their kid.

I have had good luck with glass specialty shops but I would suggest searching for one with a good reputation. Another suggestion is request name brand glass over the less expensive generic alternatives. From my experience, generic can have some optical quality and fit issues.

all excellent advice. thanks gents.
i am located in pittsburg, ks. for those of you who want to stalk me and laugh at my current situation. pretty sure i'm going to poop out glass tomorrow morning. hey daFace, will that cause anal leakage? |
Just admit that you went all Tiger Woods wife on the back window instead of making up the mower story.
