I am no attorney but it does seem rather ..oh....out of line, let's say, that a Judge would directly question a defendant in this manner

Yeah heard that show yesterday, unfortunately nothing will happen. The justice system has become a joke, the days of checks and balance is long gone.

Pawnmower 07-12-2013 04:17 PM

Just wow...

That judge seems retarded....so many appeal issues.

BucEyedPea 07-12-2013 04:44 PM

Greta was just on FOX outside the courseroom. She was asked about the judge. She said the judge was actually pretty good. It was just when she did not allow the defense to rest, when the prompted Zimmerman on testifying. She said it wasn't right she did that but it wasn't an appeal point either. She didn't see any appeal issues by her either.

Greta also cleared up how manslaughter is defined in Florida. It's not really defined as an accident.

Maybe but I think they should've allowed the text messages and pictures they KNEW were from TM's phone. The expert witness was ****ing 100% dead on...and he proved without a doubt that data was in Trayvon's phone....if the Prosecution is allowed data from the phone, so should the defense.

I think this is a HUGE appeal issue (them allowing only some of the data from the phone, requested by the prosecution....but denying other data requested by the defense) if GZ is found guilty.

BigRichard 07-12-2013 04:48 PM

Holy crap! That is so ****ing bizarre.

That is slightly weird. Like she thought the defense had completed its case. Not an appeal issue though since it didn't actually affect anything and the jury didn't even see it anyway.

In the sense that she pressured GZ to decide one way or another, before their case was over...I think you could be wrong...

He could argue he felt pressured and rushed his decision that day...before the end of the case

Not saying it would win, but there could be an argument there

I think the only thing that is looked at is if it effected the outcome of the trial. It probably didn't so not much to go on.

Like I just said,

It may not be anything...but GZ testifying couldve had an impact on the outcome....

I think there are other bigger appeal issues...

And hopefully for GZ he wont need to appeal anything...

In any case I never said that it was much to go on...I simply said it could be an issue.

Mojo Jojo 07-12-2013 05:21 PM

This judge has left many things open for appeal. If he is convicted then overturned she is going to look bad to the voters.

There isnt a single talk radio personality on either side of the aisle capable of ripping someone a new butthole hole like Levin can.

Even when i adamantly disagree with him, i still love his passion and verve.

Mmmm okay! I see that.

I'm just passing on Greta said. I don't know what all the appeal points could be.

Me neither to be honest, I just happened to be watching when they took the jury out of the room and the computer nerd/phone geek guy testified.(the guy who found all of the data the prosecution somehow "missed" during their search of the phone).....He was an amazing witness for the defense....I hope you can find the testimony on youtube or something....

He pretty much shut up ANYONE who was casting any doubt that the pictures and text messages regarding TM selling/buying guns and being involved in fights were actually TM's words.

He was one of the best witnesses I have seen in any trial. I am really not surprised the judge shut him down.....he was very, very damaging to the prosecution.
