Anyone own an LG TV?

Thinking about buying a new one. Yes I have checked the AVS forums, Amazon, Blu-Ray.com, Best Buy. But does anyone here have one? If so what do you think?

no, not a 3D fan. And if i was in the 3D world, I'd likely wait a couple of years to see what shakes out as the viable technology.

I've got this one. It's been fantastic, though I don't really do anything with the 3D stuff. I tried it out, but I've never been a fan of 3D.

Any particular reason why you're stuck on LG? If you're looking for LED, I would go with Samsung. If you're considering plasma, go with Panasonic.

That seems awfully myopic, though I wouldn't be set on LG either. I usually go and look around and find a few that I'm interested in, then research reviews online to see what ones seem to hold up.

More of a cost issue. Samsung's look great, but out of my price range.

I basically went through the exercise when we purchased our TV's over the last couple of years. LG, Sony (unless you go high end), Panasonic, and Sharp were each a notch below Samsung in the LED market. Panasonic is widely regarded as the best in plasma, so if you're going that route, just find the model that fits your budget.

In terms of "bang for your buck", it's tough to beat a Panasonic plasma.

I have that one as well. Love this TV to death, it is one of the top passive 3D TVs(well when I bought it). Definitely won't upgrade for any forseable future.

This. I have a Panasonic plazma and some crazy ass Sony LED. Different rooms need different technology IMO.
