Infared or not?

I'm looking to upgrade my grill and the seasonal deals are starting to roll in and I'm trying to decide between a char broil commercial series or a char broil commercial series infared.

There is about a $100 difference between the two models.

I figured that I'd get some opinions from you guys before I make my decision.

Thoughts on if it's worth the extra cash as I've never owned or even used an infared grill.

My rotisserie burner is infrared, and I love it.... I can't say what having the other burners being infrared would be like, but I wish I could... Go for it, if it fails badly, buy another! :)

Infrared gets hotter. You want a hot grill. I'd spend the extra.

infrared grill?

no charcoal,no gas?

I know nothing of these
but without looking it up, before criticizing it I would be breakin CP tradition,

so you wanna buy an out door electric stove?

You will be pleased with infrared.

IMO, infrared grills are for girly men who lack the skill to cook over fire like the cavemen did (said in Tim Allen's voice from Home Improvement). But I've never used an infrared grill, so my opinion matters very little.

Which model are you looking at?

This, a link would be helpful. Not because I know anything about them, more that I'm interested to see what they are.

I'm looking to buy either the 4 burner commercial one at the top or the 3 burner commercial infared second from the top

Make sure you get one that has the cast iron grate with a trough and not the one with the steel grate with tiny holes.

This a million times !!! Cast Iron holds heat for a longer period of time AND the big huge plus of a trough is it is much easier to clean the grate. The grates with the tiny holes don't drain for sh** and you have one big mess to clean up afterwards.

Infrared is AWESOME for searing.

I'd like to know how you like the infrared if you choose to go that route
