Egomania Tournament: Round 1, Heat 14

Coaches versus players. Loudmouths versus quiet egos. Which two will advance?

First

This was a really tough one for me, and I suspect that I'll diverge a little from the masses.

#1 - Marcus Allen. He's not a loudmouth, but that's not what this tournament is about. It's about ego, and if you've ever heard a Marcus Allen interview, that fellow thinks he's the greatest thing since the remote control. Plus, doesn't he have a reputation of taking other players' girlfriends and stuff? I think he's #1.

#2 - Shannon Sharpe. I think he's more of a loudmouth attention whore than an egomaniac, and there's a subtle difference between the two. But his shameless lobbying for the Hall of Fame and the fact that he dared to compare himself to the incomparable Tony Gonzalez gives him the #2 spot.

#3 - Mike Ditka. Yeah, he's got an ego. Definitely. But not quite as much as the top two.

#4 - Jerry Glanville. I think it was more bravado with him, as opposed to ego. He had to prove that he belonged in the NFL fraternity, so he acted out a lot.

Sh Sh Shawpe and Glanville.

Twanan Twarp and I think Glanville tried to create a persona that had a big ego I went with them.

Just remember mini Ditka can kick anybodies ass 4realz.

Sharpe is in, and we need a tiebreaker vote on Glanville versus Ditka. Anyone want to weigh in?

BlackHelicopters 09-18-2013 09:39 AM

I cannot understand a word Shannon Sharpe says. Do I need help?

Rain Man 09-18-2013 10:00 AM

Okay, Ditka wins on a tiebreaker.

Ditka - the most overrated coach in the history in NFL.
