Help me find this part please!

I need help tracking down a replacement for the part in this picture. It's a little nub like striker plate for my sliding screen door. I have 2 such doors and this part is broken on one of them. This allows for locking the screen door when a lock on the screen door handle is pushed down over this little nub. The piece is about 1.5" long and .5" wide. I cannot find the door mfg anywhere on the door.

I'm counting on some CP sleuthing to help me track this down as my Google skills have failed me to this point. Rep, Casino Cash, good karma, etc. your way!

I did just find a small imprint on a steel wrapped portion of the frame that has a small GU imprint on it. Looks like there is a GU Door company.

I can't find the mfg. I don't see it anywhere on the door handle, hinges, frame, anywhere I'd expect to find it. We just moved into the house a few months back so I don't have any background knowledge on it either.

10-15 years old. It's the screen door to a french door. The door looks something like this:

Inside is wood. Looking at it from the top down it looks like it has a steel outer if that makes sense.

Yeah, that's a site I looked through, but never found anything more than the door locks. Nothing for the screen door. It's such a small little part, but the little one has started to figure out how to slide open the screen so it's time to get the lock fixed.

You might want to consider putting a gate up, or installing a bar lock at the top of your door.

Just make yourself a piece of broom handle, cut to length, that you can slide behind the closed door in its tracks. As effective as any lock.

let me guess -- you have a pet that opens the screen :D
