Spero Dedes has got to be one of the worst announcers on TV

It seems like we always get stuck with this d list announcer a couple times a year. How are you stupid enough to refer to Brandon Albert as a 6 year tight end? Some of it must have rubbed off on Rich Gannon because he mistakenly called out Eric Berry for taking the bad angle on the touchdown pass.

KChiefer 10-13-2013 03:14 PM

Think I heard Gannon call us the Jets in the first half...

PRIEST 10-13-2013 03:16 PM

Stoooooopid freaking announcers , it was the worst I've heard pissing me off

OnTheWarpath15 10-13-2013 03:16 PM

Yeah, because you've never made an incorrect statement. Shit happens.

These guys see different teams every week, need to keep track of over 100 players, 22 in an instant, time, down and distance - all while having producers yelling in their ear.

If you had ever sat in an NFL broadcast booth, you'd realize how ****ing difficult the job is.

HoneyBadger 10-13-2013 03:18 PM

Yeah. They blow

Umm, they get paid money to announce things correctly.

MTG#10 10-13-2013 03:18 PM

Gannon is equally as bad. And yes he called us the Jets.

And you get paid to do your job, and I'd be willing to bet you've made mistakes.

Some of you come up with the dumbest shit to bitch about.

a pp roach 10-13-2013 03:20 PM

Except he does it all the time. You get an entire week to study both teams. There's a reason he's on the d list of announcing crews. He sucks.

I've gotten in the habit of turning the sound down on the TV and up on the radio. I prefer Mitch and Len.

Thank you for assuring me I'm not crazy. I didn't get much sleep last night. In the first half, I swear one of them also said he expected to have seen more offense in the game. Uhhhh, has he seen so much as a chiefs box score this year?!?!?

underEJ 10-13-2013 03:23 PM

he also repeatedly called runners as pushed out of bounds when they were down inside. Not a huge bungle, but indicates wrong info clock wise, and he did it a half dozen times.

Well yeah, mistakes are made. But if I made as many mistakes as these announcers in one day I'd be fired.

jspchief 10-13-2013 03:23 PM

They were bad. But about 90% of announcers are bad when it comes to KC.
