Is anybody else tired of geeks with computers trying to analyze football and publish rankings based on statistics? Football cannot be analyzed/predicted by using statistics. There are too many moving parts that affect each play.

Just like opinion-based power rankings, I think they're interesting to look at, but in practice they're meaningless. That's why I kind of like my Power Rankings Roundup approach - see how the field in general feels (still just for curiosity) rather than focusing on whether one is "right" or not.

I can tolerate some of the opinion based rankings if they are done by people who have played the game at a high level and understand its complexities.

What about Mr. Peabody?
