If the Titans abandon Locker

Would you, as the arm-chair GM, bring him in and give him a chance?

I have to say, I am normally against picking through other teams garbage, but I think Locker can be salvaged and would even be a good fit for Andy Reid. Now, I haven't like, broken down his film from this year, but he seemed to play pretty well this year. Thoughts? assume this does not preclude the Chiefs from investing in a QB in the draft, as well.

better than chase and could battle with bray for the starting job later.

Of course. That would be a great pick up.

Salvaged?

Locker has been a pretty good QB when he's had the chance to play. He just hasn't been able to stay healthy.

I'd start him over Smith. Though it would probably be about week 4 til he gets injured and Smith is starting again.

No, I've watch Locker since he came into the NFL. While he could become a good QB in the NFL he simply cannot stay healthy. Plus, his entire pro career has been with a team that's overarching game plan is to play for .500 and hope you catch a break, aka the Jeff Fisher gameplan.

would be interesting to see what Reid could do with his skill set

I have watched Locker closely since he became the starter in college. He was really fun to watch in college but I never thought he would become a championship level QB in the NFL.

No

I would with the plan of sitting him for a year with solid coaches. Get what ever half ass mentality they breed there in in breeder country out of him and give him a spin.

bevischief 12-24-2013 09:48 AM

Why not...

DC.chief 12-24-2013 10:05 AM

If Locker can ever stay on the field a whole season I think he'll do well. He's shown progress. He still has great potential.

There's like no chance he'll be a Chief though. The Chiefs have their man and Locker isn't about to sit behind someone at this point.

The Franchise 12-24-2013 10:26 AM

Locker wouldn't come here to sit. He'll go somewhere next year where he can start. There will be plenty of teams looking for a QB. Cleveland....Houston....Jacksonville...
