I suspect this thread will go over as well as the "Springfield Get-together" ones.

Easton Flaugh is a pretty athletic guy.. Fairly certain I saw him throw for 3TDs and 200+ yards and run for a score and over 100 against Rogersville in 2012.

EDIT: He went for 168 yards and 3 touchdowns on 24 carries and 4-9 109 TD through the air against a defending state title team, though they'd graduated most of their talent by that point.

I know there are a few Bears fans on here, and I'd rather have a dedicated thread for us than break up the various MU/KU bitchfests.

One of the few things I trust this staff on is defensive talent. It has gotten much, much better in the last several years. The DL commits are going to be asked to do a lot early on - I'm surprised they only signed one JUCO player there.

I went to MSU, although it was still SMSU when I was there. I went to exactly one football game my entire time there. A homecoming game that I was too blitzed to remember. But I do root for them.

I'm surprised there isn't another FBS team on the schedule besides Okie State.

I guess Terry's going all-in this season; no room for any moral victory type losses now eh?

If moral victories were considered a currency, I'd be the wealthiest man on Earth.

Go to 1:05ish in the video at this article to see a pretty nifty play Flaugh was involved in:

Our athletics are bad across the board. I'll give the Lady Bears a break this year because Harper is in her first year and she's recruiting well. Otherwise, :sulk:

Any (realistic) ideas?

I doubt it will happen consistently in the Valley. We can't pay coaches at your level, especially now that JQH is gone. Our president also has a strange fixation with football, which has never had widespread fan/alumni/university support.

ya who knows, you guys have some nice young players this year. I think you guys would have competed for 2nd this year if Marcus Marshall didnt get hurt

Indiana State is clearly better. I still think the big payoff must happen next year for Lusk to keep his job, but there's such a gaping hole at center that I doubt the Bears would be a serious conference threat anyway. There's no heat left in the fan base, everyone has just accepted the current state of affairs.
