SceneItAll Tournament: Round 1, Heat 75
 

The rules:

In Round 1, I'm going to put up three randomly selected scenes from the nomination thread.

You'll vote for your ONE favorite scene among the three. The key here is FAVORITE. We're not talking about the 'best' or 'most powerful' or 'most meaningful'. We're talking about the scene that you most enjoy watching, however you define that.

The winners will move on. I'll also take the 10 highest-scoring second-place scenes and they'll advance as wild cards.

Some of our nominations did not include clips. This will be noted. If you find a clip, please post it and let me know so I can update it if it moves on.

No one beat the poll. I win this round.

My votes:

#1 - True Lies. As a rule in this tourney, I don't want to be unduly swayed by swaying breasts and undulating hips. But in this case they're integral to the plot, so I'm fine with it. This scene isn't epic, but it's good.

#2 - Tenacious D. It started out interesting and then went on a little too long. I'm not a huge fan of drug trip scenes, either. They've been done a lot.

#3 - Star Trek. I have to be honest. I view this as one of the worst scenes in movie history. You've got the Shatner monologue that starts out bad, and then when Scotty starts playing the bagpipes it busts me up laughing, and not because it's funny. It's just so bad. My apologies to whoever nominated it.

Something tells me Drake was not the original music in True Lies.

I was thinking something wasn't right.

Can you find a good clip? The others that I found all had "mature content" warnings asking me to log in.

None of the above. There isn't a single Lou in any of these titles.

So glad to see the star trek guys didn't totally butcher this one, it was romp for justice... Jamie Lee never looked better.
