bb first round mock 1.onlyoneimdoing
Here's my gay dumb mock
(1) Houston Texans - Jadeveon Clowney, DE South Carolina Bill O' Brien isn't going to feel pressed to go QB here and tbh, I don't think there's a QB worth the number one overall pick. The Texans opt for amping up the pass-rush instead. (2) Minnesota Vikings (f/STL) - Blake Bortles, QB UCF 3 years ago, Spielman settled for table scraps with Ponder. This time around, the Vikings aggressively go after the QB they want. Bortles has the arm and size that Norv Turner wants from his starting QB. (3) Cleveland Browns (f/JAX) - Sammy Watkins, WR Clemson The Browns move up one spot to secure the player they want. (4) Atlanta Falcons (f/JAX,CLE) - Greg Robinson, OT Auburn The Falcons need to desperately get an upgrade from Sam Baker. (5) Oakland Raiders - Jake Matthews, OT Texas A&M McKenzie and that one guy with a shitty ****ing haircut blew their plans at LT last month. They need to fix that now. (6) Jacksonville Jaguars (f/ATL) - Khalil Mack, DE/OLB Buffalo The Jaguars get some additional picks for moving down and still get their target. Mack is a great option for their LEO position. (7) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Teddy Bridgewater, QB Louisville The Bucs rush that card up as fast as they can and celebrate afterwards. (8) St. Louis Rams (f/MIN) - Taylor Lewan, OT Michigan The Rams get a starting RT right away and the eventual successor to Jake Long. Lewan has a meanstreak that Fisher will like. (9) Buffalo Bills - Eric Ebron, TE North Carolina If Manuel fails, it won't be for the lack of weapons. (10) Detroit Lions - HaHa Clinton-Dix, S Alabama The Lions have a big hole at FS with Delmas gone. (11) Tennessee Titans - Justin Gilbert, CB Oklahoma State The Titans need a replacement for Verner. (12) New York Giants - Aaron Donald, DT Pitt Donald is an obvious fit for the Giants and they do need more tackles. (13) St. Louis Rams - Calvin Pryor, S Louisville The Rams need help at S and Pryor fits the Fisher mold (physical, stupid penalty bro). (14) San Francisco 49ers (f/CHI) - Darqueze Dennard, CB Michigan State The 49ers have more picks they will ever need, so they say **** it and surge up to shore up the biggest hole they have. The Bears need to completely renovate a lot of their Defense, so they'll be glad to take the mega haul. (15) Pittsburgh Steelers - Kelvin Benjamin, WR Florida St. Rapist gets his big body WR. (16) Dallas Cowboys - Anthony Barr, LB UCLA Barr finally comes off the board. Unlike the reeruned selection a year ago, the value here is actually quite good. Bruce Carter, Sean Lee and Anthony Barr would make a really good LB trio. (17) Baltimore Ravens - Zack Martin, OT Notre Dame The Ravens upgrade from the dumb blindside dude. (18) New York Jets - Odell Beckham Jr., WR LSU The Jets continue to gather more targets for Geno. (19) Philadelphia Eagles (f/MIA) - Kony Ealy, DE/OLB Missouri Chip Kelly has made it a priority to upgrade his pass-rush. While the Dion Jordan trade fell through, Kony Ealy would be a great get. (20) Arizona Cardinals - Dee Ford, DE/OLB Auburn The Cardinals definitely need more pass-rushers. (21) Green Bay Packers - Ra'Shede Hageman, DE Minnesota The Packers need to get some more pass-rush from the front three. (22) Miami Dolphins (f/PHI) - Xavier Su'a-Filo, OG UCLA The Dolphins Offensive Line rebuild is almost complete. (23) Houston Texans (f/KC) - Johnny Manziel, QB Texas A&M The Texans say **** it and power back into the first round to secure Manziel. The Chiefs absolutely must find a way to acquire more picks, considering they are already minus a Day 2 selection and FA was more dry than Betty White's pussy. (24) Cincinnati Bengals - Morgan Moses, OT Virginia The Bengals moved Andrew Whitworth to LG last year and slid Anthony Collins in at LT. Collins bolted for Tampa Bay, so they need to replace him. (25) San Diego Chargers - Louis Nix, NT Notre Dame The bolts lost Cam Thomas to the Steelers in FA and Kwame Geathers is nothing more than a comedy option as the starting nose. (26) Carolina Panthers (f/CLE,IND) - Marqise Lee, WR USC The Panthers leap up 2 spots to get ahead of the Saints to secure Marqise. (27) New Orleans Saints - Brandin Cooks, WR Oregon State The Saints recently moved on from Meachem and Lance Moore. It wouldn't hurt to get younger at the position anyhow. (28) Cleveland Browns (f/CAR) - C.J. Mosley, ILB Alabama The Browns need to get a new ILB after releasing Jackson. (29) New England Patriots - Stephon Tuitt, DL Notre Dame Tuitt would be an excellent fit in Belichicks flex D. (30) Chicago Bears (f/SF) - Timmy Jernigan, DT Florida State The Bears were absolute dog shit at stopping the run in 2013, so adding Jernigan to go along with Houston would be a wise decision. (31) Denver Broncos - David Yankey, OG Stanford The Broncos probably want a better option than Will Montgomery for LG. (32) Seattle Seahawks - Ryan Shazier, LB Ohio State An interesting prospect for the LEO role. (33) Kansas City Chiefs (f/HOU) - Jimmie Ward, S Northern Illinois The Chiefs were absolutely butt ****ed by long TD receptions down the stretch. |
I would love it if the draft fell this way, but the Texans would be happy to sit on their pick and take Derek Carr, who fits the mold that Bill O'Brien likes at QB, rather than trade up for Manziel.
And Manziel won't last to 23 in any case. Fantasy. Sheer fantasy. |
I like Moses, and originally mocked him to the Chiefs in the third/fourth area.
I know he climbed due to his Senior Bowl performance, but at #24? With all that talent still on the board? Whoa. And I think that Jimmie Ward is a strong safety in the mold of Eric Berry without the size. A healthy Sanders Commings (6'0", 221 lbs.) and the free agent signing of Jerron McMillian (6'0", 205 lbs.) the Chiefs will have two "new" safeties on the field next year that are capable of running mid 4.4 40's with verticals over 34". I don't see them spending a first round pick on another one, especially considering that the holes that they have at ILB, OL and WR where they need a starting level guy at each of those positions. |
That's a metric ****ton of trading. We would be smart to trade back and stockpile picks in a draft this deep.
"FA was more dry than Betty White's pussy." I cringed then laughed. |

And we've only worsened that with the signing of Joe Mays to cover that other ILB spot. You're/they are going to be asking DJ and Berry to effectively cover the gaping deficiencies of the other LB in passing situations (which we did last year with Jordan and Berry) and it's not getting any better with Mays versus Jordan. It's a major concern in terms of bettering the Chiefs ability to effectively pash rush (something Van Noy does quite well - especially from the interior) AND cover passing lanes effectively. Van Noy has the feet, hips and instincts to easily drop back and cover that front half, which would allow Berry to give more support to the mid area of the field and not have to rely so much on a single high free safety to cover such a large portion of the field. I mean, seriously - go look at our roster as it stands right now. Outside of DJ, our entire LB corps is a flaming pile of monkey shit. It should be a serious concern at this point. Something to think about anyway. |
Copy some of this from Walter Football?

Not even realistic. waste of time

If I were going to mock a trade with a team, it would likely be with San Francisco. This isn't as much our history of trading with them as it is the teams right behind us. San Fran needs another CB and with Cincy and San Diego both needing them right behind us, I could see this being a move San Fran would make.
If Frisco gives us 1.30, 3.94, and 5.170, that would fall right in with the value chart and similar to last year when pick 22 dropped to 30 with 92 and 198 thrown in. San Fran would still have 5 picks in the 1st 4 rounds, address a major need, and retain their 2nd round picks. KC could realistically try to move down again, as it seems the end of the 1st round there is always some action that usually nets a gain of a 4th rounder. Anyways, its all dreaming because most teams are going to want to move down in this draft. Could be a good buyer's draft though. |

I do think one QB of the trio won't be going off the board in the top 10 and whoever it is will end up free falling for awhile. Manziel is the most likely of the bunch to be the one to slip. Quote:
"****" It was a more coincidence than anything. When I saw Walt had the same idea for the KC/HOU trade, I knew a post like this was coming lol I do scan WF, but I didn't lift their ideas for trades. Quote:
I have a different view over Jimmie Ward, but I understand that others will certainly have that opinion on Ward and we'll simply agree to disagree. :) I do think he's the best prospect for the center field and the Chiefs lost many games because Kendrick Lewis ****ing sucked in that role. There's is a possibility they think that Sanders Commings (lol I guess) is the answer at FS and in that case, I think the best pick at that slot would be ASJ. Quote:

The implosion here if Manziel was available and the Chiefs traded out of the spot would make that move one of the funniest things ever.
|
This board would explode even though there's no chance the Chiefs would select Manziel.
