KCMO and Standard Parking Blow!

I put this int he wrong thread, but was wondering if I was the only victim of KCMO's poor leadership and Standard Parking being profit whores?

Having been one of the "downtown" folks who've non-fiscally paid with frustration points for every step of progress seen in the downtown area, it maddening!

Between closing streets for construction for last nine years, one effort after the other, and Standard Parking being whores and letting the ****ing Arvest bank get built into the SE corner of their 13th & Grand Ave garage (thus eliminating any chance of six stories of parkers getting out onto Grand Ave North or South!!), I'm praying KCMO loses the Big12 tournament and it goes to a City/State that has a team in the Big-12 tournament..

Why??? Because the city can work with the event sponser to close-down the streets, but when traffic is backed-up for 4-5 stories of the parking garage (for folks paying 1% more for working downtown!) they don't so a goddamn thing to help get the garage emptied efficiently. They can help at Chiefs games, but not during the Big-12 tournament. So screw KCMO, Standard Parking, and Arvest Bank! Assholes!

I'm sure they have a litany a reasons, excuses, and unsolvable complex reasons it can't be done, so I'll just be happy if they lose the tournament and eliminate one "daytime" event the SPRINT center hosts that ****-over the people mainly in 1201 Walnut but also parkers in the attached garage...

Sly is a jackass! And just wait until next year's Big-12 tournament with the NW corner of 13th/Walnut ****ed up so they can build another building... The gridlock is going to be epic...

And let's not forget one of the worst backups in KCMO history - and that was the day in November of 2008 when Colin Powell spoke at the SPRINT Center. JC man!!! It took an hour to get into the city-center from 11th & Charlotte, and two hours to get out later that day. It's like the City didn't learn a thing!

Anyway, until Sly puts some pressure on the SPRINT Center to work to mitigate daytime traffic jams, I hope the building loses business that involves events that start before 7:00 pm.

There, I feel better.

Standard Parking sucks. They own everything and run it the same shitty way. I've been parking in their garage for 15 years. When it gets busy they actually SHUT exits and make it worse.

I'm glad I'm not alone. Man, Standard Parking REALLY pissed some folks off with their Arvest Bank move. I'm sure they don't care (asshole ****s!), but you can't take the free-market slut out of the whore!

And again, the city just blows for doning NO traffic control for the parkers..

And get this, not that they reopened the lanes they had closed off after the bank finally wen in... Not two weeks later the assholes permanently shut-down the middle lane on 13th Street so the same cordoned off configuration they did on 13th and Grand (for the bank) could be done at 13th and Walnut (for the new apartment building). And it gets better..... Drive in here in the moring and some dumb mother****er in and 18-wheeler restaurant resupply truck is ****ing PARKED in the open left-hand lane (right outside of the Flying Saucer) taking shit into the Power & Light locations. Leaving ONE lame open during the moring rush. Do you think any of KCMO's finest told him that THAT trick won't be happening for a few years??? Hell no! KCMO cops are about as dumb as Sly. I don't care what the regular rules are, when on lane is perma-closed, find somewhere else to park your ****ing truck ASSHOLE! Perhaps the WEST SIDE OF THE P&L area!

JFC!
