I can't not have a thread here any more.

This show is just so smart about the subjects it tackles.

We are a few weeks out from the Gardner killing, and Alicia is still impaired by it.

But the NSA story line is ****ing humming. The independent contractor [The Office's Gabe] is in trouble for taking a flash drive home, and seeking representation with Florrick Agos he lets it slip that the NSA is listening to everyone connected to Alicia, stemming from her representation of a terrorist 'sympathizer' years back, including her governor husband.

Alicia et al go into proactive mode using the NSA's procedures against them. Basically calling anyone in power and spilling THEIR secrets over the phone so the powerful pull the FISA warrants, and setting it up so that the NSA supervisor gets unsolicited calls from questionable sources.

The Good Wife is the most legally aware show on network television I can recall. In it's early years L&O was pretty legally aware, but then it went into 'ripped from the headlines' model and the law took 2nd place. TGW doesn't theatrically 'object' without grounds, it substantively objects and names its objection. The cases fall out they would in Chicago of today. They routinely get on top of storylines before the media, and play them out realistically.

I watched all the previous seasons on Amazon Prime. I like it, but I haven't caught the new stuff.

I'd hit it.
