42% of Americans eventually cremated
Per Forbes:
In 1960 the average cost of a funeral was $706 when only 3.56% of bodies were cremated. Today the average traditional funeral costs between $8,000 and $10,000, and about 42% of people are cremated.http://www.forbes.com/sites/perianne...l-life-online/ |
Been saying it for years....it's the only responsible choice.
The Funeral business is a complete scam...and they prey on those who are grieving. |

I've already paid the plane pilot to drop my Ashes at kickoff of the opening day at Arrowhead when I die

Do whatever is cheapest. I'm dead - who cares?

I'm waiting for Mizzou to announce the new basketball coach, then I will self-cremate

Cremation. You have a viewing or a wake if you choose. After that, what difference does it make,? Nobody is going to see you again anyway.
My mom was cremated, and I had no problem with it. |
Besides, Funerals are for the living, not the dead. The dead person has already moved on and has nothing really to say about it.

How do world religions deal with cremation?
Interestingly, there is no specific teaching in the Bible about cremation. Although cremation accounts can be found in the Bible, it was not common or accepted at all for Jews or early believers to be cremated.http://christianity.about.com/od/chr...tionburial.htm |

How are you going to pay Charon if you're cremated.

I want my ashes to be poured into Pat Tablers mouth
|
Wow, 14-1 for cremation. I'm the only dissenter. Why is that so popular? Nobody gets their ashes spread at Arrowhead or the Leaning Tower of Pisa anyway.
