Can't miss eats in Miami?
I'm heading out to Miami in a few weeks. Anyone know of any good places I can't miss? the mrs is allergic to antifreeze, so that's off the menu. Thanks

I haven't been there in a few years, since I moved back north (Damn it!), but if you'll tell me what type of food you're interested in, and what parts of the Miami area won't be too far a drive, I can probably still give you a few suggestions.

we are pretty adventurous eaters, so will try just about anything once. We're going to be in the Miami Beach area. Thanks for the info

http://www.tropicalchinesemiami.com/ but it's not on the beach. There's always the famous http://www.joesstonecrab.com/index.html I haven't been down to Calle Ocho in years, so I'm not really able to tell you what the best latin places currently are. Latin American Cafe used to be solid, but I've heard that things may have changed. If you like Japanese hibachi places, there's a Benihana nearby. http://www.benihana.com/locations/miamibeach-fl-mb/ Here's one that used to be a solid seafood choice: http://www.garciabrothersseafood.com/ |

CJ's Crab Shack on Miami Beach is the spot. Food is amazing and the owner is a really cool guy, he always gives us cigars every time I've eaten there. It's around 6th or 7th and Ocean Drive.
Then go down to the Shore Club after dinner and spend $42 on a Vodka and Red Bull. South Beach prices are cheap. |

Kudos for being the one of the only people to actually attempt to help the OP, though. |

As for more restaurants: The Forge has been around for a long time, and will be happy to take a lot of your money away from you if you're looking for that kind of place. I always had other preferences, but it's an old reliable for the city: http://theforge.com/ I'd love to try Naoe, but I don't think that's what the O.P. is looking for. LMAO Siam Palace is a fair priced Thai restaurant that was always a good meal. El Mago de las Fritas for Cuban sandwiches and the like Flanigans is a popular sports bar with several locations Here's a list of a few buffet spots. I haven't visited all of them, so I can't really tell you which would be the best alternatives, but you can do some research if you care enough to check into them: http://miami.cbslocal.com/top-lists/...fets-in-miami/ P.S. Knowing this crowd, there's no way in hell I'm putting any BBQ joints down. You're on your own for that. :thumb: |
