Not the face full of nuts and dong for you sick F's.
Im talking the finest diner and truck stop fare ever invented. Nothing sticks to the ribs for me like it. Only problem is I could never make a satisfying one at home. Kates Kitchen was mentioned earlier here and they have a good one. Whats your favorite place for and any recipe for homemade? I like with a side dish of buttered corn. |
We are all going to be fat as **** after reading these threads for a month ROFL

Love them. Don't know who does them best. Love them so much I'm not all that picky. Fresh soft white bread, slow cooked roast beef, mash and gravy. Good enough for me.
Made plenty at home. Cooked roasts just for that purpose. |
The High Life Lounge in Des Moines. It's amazing

Oh, and garlicky green beans > corn.

Only time im disappointed is when the mashed spuds are instant I hate those.
This is a fav lunch since I was a tike on first pheasant hunt with Dad in Ks. I wasnt old enough to carry a gun just walk with dad. We pulled into a diner for lunch and everyone got the hot beef sandwich along with me. It was instant joy love at first bite. Out in the field working on a cold day I always look for that diner that has the look. You just know they are gonna serve a good one. Nothing warms ya up and sticks to the ribs like it. A slice of peanut butter pie after is always a rare treat. But that a tread all in itself. |
Damn not much love for the ultimate diner food here.
